There are twenty miles of beautiful oceanfront parkland offering more than 2 biking and hiking trails. My pal and I can go fishing, kayaking or paddleboarding. There are miles of pale white sand beaches. The St. Johns Town Center is an open-air shopping center encompassing over 1.2 million square feet and more than 172 retailers and over twenty restaurants, and from luxury stores to bargain outlets and speciality boutiques, I always find something to make the trip worthwhile.

Last year was brutal when it comes to the weather. It was very hot and humid all summer long. We had a couple of hurricanes that caused extremely bad weather. One of those hurricanes knocked out the power for 3 days. I decided to go stay with my mom and dad when there was no power in the house. It was fine the first day, but the second day was 100 degrees and I couldn’t stand the heat any longer. My mom and dad had power, because they live in The Villages. The Villages is in the central part of the state and the area rarely sees any hurricane activities. My mom and dad had power and they have a generator that was installed last summer. If the power goes out in The Villages, my mom and dad will have an alternate way to keep the house cool. It’s important for my parents to keep the house cool because they are both almost 80 years old. They can’t stand the heat like they did when they were younger. I have seen a lot of concerts in the industrial district. Some of the venues are small, but they still carry big name bands like the ones I love. Minneapolis has lots of outdoor recreational activities as well. There are parts for biking, walking, kayaking, and fishing. Minneapolis is easily one of the most bicycle friendly cities in the whole country. I ride my bicycle back and forth to work. I work a few miles from my apartment at a local HVAC business. I ride my bike to the Minneapolis HVAC business and I leave it in the showroom all day while I take my work truck from job to job. At the end of the day, I ride my bicycle back to my apartment. I hardly spend any money at all on commuting and I am doing something great for the environment by not adding more carbon emissions. There are tons of bike friendly paths and roads and safety is a priority to the city. There are more than a million people living in the city of Minneapolis, but no one loves this place more than me. I have been here since I was a kid and I know everything about Minneapolis. I know the best places to eat and the coolest venues to visit. Since I’m local, I have been nearly everywhere in the city.

My hubby and I have three kids and we rarely get out of the house alone.

Sometimes when we go to the grocery store, we leave the kids at the house.

The grocery store is right around the corner and it is the only time we really get privacy. We had to come home early and leave the concert before it was over.
