Denver, CO happens to be nicknamed the mile high seas City.
- There is a genuinely excellent reason why this particular place has this certain nickname… So many parts of the city are exactly 5,280 ft above the sea level which happens to be a single mile into the atmosphere.
A good amount of people going to see the city can have a hard time with a change in altitude! It does have a couple of benefits though for some people. I really like to play golf a great deal. I have a set of clubs that I often use on rainy afternoons & a set of clubs that I use on sunny afternoons. Not long ago, my friends & I watched a video of a guy hitting a golf ball in Denver, CO. The golf ball actually went 379 ft on a single drive. I read more information about the altitude & I was able to learn that it is not uncommon for the ball to travel so far because of the altitude & thin air. I thought it would be amazing to go to Denver, CO & hit a couple of golf balls. My friends agreed with the idea & we booked a flight to Denver. It cost $85 to check my golf clubs, however I wasn’t going anywhere without them. My friends & I landed in the city of Denver on a Sunday. We had a driver bring us to our hotel. The driver had an immense sign in the back seat for recreational cannabis. That wasn’t the only advertisement we actually saw for recreational cannabis while we were in Denver. We also saw an advertisement for recreational cannabis on the side of a bus. I was genuinely thinking the golf balls would be the most amazing thing that we did while we were in Denver, however my friends and I smoked cannabis while we were there too.
