San Francisco requires a lot of money for living

The cost of living in San Francisco is very high.

It’s nearly impossible to live in the city, unless you have an extremely good job.

I make $100,000 a year, and I still can’t afford to live in the city. I have a two bedroom apartment and a roommate. My roommate and I share the rent, utilities, water, and a car. The car is mine, but I don’t mind letting my roommate use it from time to time. The guy is very responsible and he is a business executive. Sometimes he meets with clients all over the city and it doesn’t look professional to arrive in an Uber. The guy uses my car when he wants to make a good impression. The cost of living is high in San Francisco, but so is the cost of everything else. Gas is almost $5 a gallon and all of the local prices are inflated because of tourism. The only thing in the city that remains constant is the price of legal marijuana. San Francisco, California has a huge tourist population, but the price of legal marijuana is still lower than most places in the country. All of the marijuana shops near our apartment offer a daily special. Every day they have 20% off merchandise in the store. Sometimes it is edibles and sometimes it is flower and concentrate. When they have the items on sale that I love, I always get enough to last a few weeks. Even though it is very expensive to live in the bay area, I make it work by having a roommate that I can trust.
