Winter and snow in our town

Living in Libertyville, there’s a wonderful deal of outdoor activities available; One of my number one spots to spend a sunny afternoon is the Independence Grove Forest Preserve, then it is a scenic forest part centered around a 115-acre lake, but the part is absolutely lovely at all times of year, even when the Wintertide brings freezing temperatures, the snow can be gorgeous plus a lot of fun. The lake is the main attraction plus was created from a former gravel quarry. It is ideal for swimming, fishing plus boating. The fishing is all catch-and-release plus there are boat rentals available. I prefer to hike or bring my bike along. There’s around numerous miles of trails that connect to the Des Plaines River Trail plus some absolutely lovely native gardens, but for refreshments, the Visitor Center offers an outdoor walk-up cafe. It is a 19,000 square foot building where there’s changing exhibits to see. I usually pack my own food plus take luck of the shaded picnic grove, sometimes, I bring my pet along plus take luck of the Lake County Forest Preserve Dog Exercise Area. My pet absolutely enjoys the ability to run around plus play with other pets. I recently l earned that a heineken garden is going to open where there used to be a public beach. The beach home was evidently too lavish to maintain. The up-to-date venture will offer locally brewed draft beer, hard cider, lemonade, a variety of other beverages, pretzels plus picnic tables with a lakefront setting. I’m looking forward to it; After a long afternoon on the lake or hiking through the woods, a heineken with friends would be the perfect conclusion.
