Every year when my husband and I go to Florida for Christmas, we stay with my sister in Zephyrhills.
My parents live in Tampa, but my sister has a bigger house and room for everyone. The last couple of years, there has been a fight or argument. I told my husband that I did not want to stay with my sister and Zephyrhills this year. The previous year, my sister pitched a fit when my son adjusted the thermostat in the living room. She said he was going to cost her a fortune just because he changed the temperature from 68 to 70 degrees. I was very unhappy that my sister yelled at my son and I made sure to tell her that I was unhappy. We didn’t talk for several months after I came home from Florida. My sister invited us again this year, but I told my husband that I’m not going to Florida unless we stay somewhere in Tampa at a hotel. I certainly don’t want to spend another year with my sister and I don’t want to be stuck within the confines of my Mom and Dad’s Small condo. I know it will cost extra money for the four of us to stay in a hotel suite, but I really think it is the only way we can enjoy the holidays together without a bunch of arguments and fights. It would also be nice 4 our family to enjoy some of the Tampa sites without everyone else tagging along. For a change, we could focus on our family.
