My friends and I traveled to Albuquerque for a music festival.
The music festival was held on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
My friends and I bought tickets to the event a month in advance. We spent $200 for each one of the four-day passes. My friends and I do not live in Albuquerque. It was a three-hour drive from our home and upstate New Mexico. We didn’t mind traveling to the festival. Albuquerque is a really pretty place with lots of things to see and do. My friends and I stayed in a cheap hotel about 15 minutes away from the event venue. The whole time during the festival, it was raining and the weather was miserable. We were lucky to have a hotel room. A couple of people that were in our group were staying in a tent close to the fairgrounds. I would not have preferred to stay in a tent, mostly because of the outdoor temperatures. Even though it was raining, it was still extremely hot and uncomfortable. The hotel room was cool and comfortable thanks to the air conditioner. We had a suite with air conditioners in the living area and the bedroom. We had to sleep on the floor, but we were safe from the rain and the cold temperatures. The bands were really good and a couple of people showed up to play that weren’t even scheduled on the roster. I really enjoyed the food from the trucks outside the venue and things were reasonably priced. Overall, the experience in Albuquerque was a lot of fun.
