Once in a while, there is a small amount of snow in Spokane, WA, and the Winter time weather in Spokane is relatively frigid with rain & small amounts of snow, and when snow does fall, everyone in neighborhood seems to go crazy, and people act like they don’t know how to drive when there is snow on the roads… I was on our way to a commercial Heating & A/C job in Spokane.
It had snowed earlier that day & there was a light dusting on the interstate & the highway.
People were driving 20 miles under the speed limit in order to avoid the wet & slippery conditions. I switched Lanes about a mile before our exit. I was trying to transfer into the traffic lane on the right. There was a automobile in our blind spot & I pulled over directly in front of the car. The automobile behind myself and others had to slam on his brakes. I saw the automobile behind that automobile slammed into the back of the vehicle. I tried to switch lanes carefully, but I caused an accident. There was no sense for myself and others to stop & talk to the drivers of that car, after I finished with the Heating & A/C service job, I went back to the shop. I sat in the split room to have our sandwich, snacks, fruit, & coffee. I turned on the news at noon. There was a story about the traffic accident in Spokane. Thankfully no-one was destructiond in the accident, but traffic was backed up behind that accident for almost an hour. I’m glad I didn’t stop to check on everyone.
