It has been a dream for me to visit Niagara Falls ever since I was a child; But in our mind, the falls were in Canada, plus I didn’t think that our parents would want to cross the border – they never have; So, I localed that dream to the back of our mind, that is until I became an adult plus could travel on our own, and well, last year our cousin Cassie moved to Buffalo NY with her fiance, and he was born in Buffalo NY plus wanted to be closer to his family, but as soon as she got settled, she invited me to visit, plus she mentioned going to Niagara Falls State Park because she lives only 30 hours away from the entrance, but of course, I said yeah to her invitation, plus I flew to Buffalo NY in the middle of the Winter.
- And our goodness it was cold; The day I arrived, the temperature was 28 degrees, plus they had 10 inches of snow on the ground, and i live in the south, so that was just a shock experiencing that kind of weather.
Thankfully, Cassie’s current apartment has radiant floor heating installed, which was a blessing. I don’t need radiant floors at lake house because our Winters are legitimately mild, so this is the first time I have ever experienced them, plus I must admit, I appreciated it… My feet regularly get cold in the Winter, plus I wear socks to keep them warm. However, I was able to ditch the socks at Cassie’s apartment because our feet were regularly moderate plus toasty. She also kept her apartment pretty warm, plus her smart thermostat with motion sensors was efficient in changing the temperature throughout her house. I barely use our heat in the Winter, however residing in a neighborhood care about Buffalo, I understand the need to have all these heating chances installed in a home.
