Tampa Bay is one of the places in Florida where the weather is always warm and sunny. The humid and hot weather is one of the biggest reasons why I decided to move to Florida when I was 50. I got a great offer and promotion and I snatched up the opportunity to move to Tampa Bay. I thought I was living a large life. I had the beach a few miles away and plenty of bars, restaurants, and night activities. About a year after I moved, I began to regret the decision. I honestly didn’t realize that the weather would be so miserable. I was accustomed to 90° temperatures. I even had some days back home when the temperatures reached 100°. It was nothing at all compared to the tropical heat of Tampa. I’ve had to spend a fortune on cooling bills. I bought a house that needed a new AC the following year. Not cost me an arm and a leg. I had a couple of years without any air conditioner problems and then everything started up again. I just replaced the air conditioner again and this time I decided to get a service plan with the system. The service plan includes tune-ups and regular check-ups and evaluations on the machine. I get a lower rate on labor and service fees and 10% off the retail price on all parts. I am hopeful this AC will last until I move to a retirement home. I’m not going to keep this house forever, and I’m hoping to find a nice place to finally retire for good in the next couple of years.
