Before moving to a house on Rosita St in Tarzana, I was living a few blocks eastward in the Encino neighborhood.
My parents raised me in Los Angeles, but we moved all around the city during my childhood.
At one point we were in a cramped apartment in Glendale. I didn’t mind because this put us really close to Griffith Park, which is like an urban oasis filled with hiking, biking, and horse trails. By far this was my favorite place in the Los Angeles area before getting to Tarzana in the last few years. After we lived in Glendale, my parents moved us to Sherman Oaks. That’s where we were staying when I graduated from Harvard-Westlake Upper School and then left to attend college in San Diego. I came back to Los Angeles to take a job in Encino. Once I had enough money, I moved out of Encino to my current house on Rosita St in Tarzana. It’s easily one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in all of Los Angeles. I don’t want to be stuck in Laurel Canyon of West Hollywood, especially knowing the cannabis taxes are even higher over there. There’s an amazing cannabis dispensary that recently opened on Vanalden Ave and they’re quickly becoming one of my favorites. They get fresh batches of cannabis flower products that rival any of the dispensaries throughout the larger Los Angeles metropolitan area. If you’re interested in higher quality cannabis, I would recommend stopping in Tarzana rather than any random neighborhood further north for instance. There are people living here who have the money for premium cannabis products, and the selection here is proof of that.
