Sometimes my mom can be very stubborn. I have been telling her for the last 2 years that she needs to replace the furnace in the basement, but she refused to believe that it was time. She kept telling me that the furnace was working just fine. I had to help her repair the furnace twice and the furnace was definitely not working fine. I could not convince my mom to fix the furnace before there was a huge problem. Last weekend she called me because there wasn’t any heat in the house at all. I wasn’t surprised that the furnace stopped. I told my mom that she needed to call an Elgin furnace repair company. My mom lives just outside of Elgin and I knew that the Elgin furnace repair company would have better prices on repairs and replacement parts for the furnace. When my mom found out how much it was going to cost for a new furnace, she refused to pay for all of the repairs. There is absolutely no way that my mom can spend the entire winter without the furnace, so my sister and I decided that we are going to pay for the repairs. I’m sure my mom will put up a fight and try to resist, but I can’t spend all winter worrying about if my mom is going to freeze to death.
