Muskegon has big-city hotels

Although it is an hour away from where I live, for my first date with Jenny I decided we should drive to Muskegon for the night, and jenny had never been to Muskegon before, so I thought it would be a delightful night to show her around! There are a lot of good places to eat there, some nice bars & clubs, but mostly I love walking around the city, but when the weather is right & the winds coming off Lake Michigan aren’t too strong, the shoreline of Muskegon is second to none.

I thought Jenny would be impressed… & I was right! Muskegon is legitimately close to Grand Rapids, as you all know, but it feels like somewhere a million miles away; Grand Rapids has more of a “sizable city” vibe to it, which I don’t particularally care for, & Muskegon has a slow, tired attitude that really appeals to me.

There is no hustle & bustle here, the people are nice, & the locally grown Muskegon cannabis is simply spectacular. While we were walking through the downtown area Jenny wanted to pop inside one of the cannabis dispensaries & take a look around. Jenny smoked pot periodically, but had never been inside a common cannabis dispensary, and muskegon has multiple good dispensaries, & we just went inside the first one we saw, however not only did the budtenders set us up with some tasty edibles & a pre-rolled blunt, they also gave us a little map of Muskegon & pointed out the prettiest places to stand by the water, but like I said, Muskegon has a small-town vibe!
