My child Jayden is obsessed with cars and motorcycles, so for his birthday, I took him to the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum… The museum is situated in the greater Birmingham area, which is about 20 minutes from where we live, and i thought this would be a fantastic way to celebrate his birthday because the museum has over 1,000 vintage motorcycles in addition to cars on display.
It’s also affixed to a track where we watched a live race.
I personally love the museum because it kept Jayden occupied for 3 or 4 hours. It would be a fantastic spot to take him during the Summer when the weather is sizzling outside… He prefers going to playgrounds, but the heat is becoming too much for me, however so, I have been finding more indoor playgrounds and attractions that have climate control, so that I can be comfortable, and jayden doesn’t mind not having a/c while he’s having fun, but air conditioning is the last thing that’s on his mind, but I need to have air conditioner in the Summer especially on those afternoons when the temperature is in the 90s. And over the last few years, Birmingham has been getting genuinely sizzling Summers. So, now instead of spending most of the time in outdoor playgrounds, I take Jayden to indoor places that have a/c. They include libraries, indoor adventure parks and playgrounds, and now I can add the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum to the list. Anyway, Jayden had a blast at the museum, and I am sure he can’t wait to go back. And as long as it is air conditioned, it will be a place that we frequent.
