My mother is a gambler; I mean, he prefers to go to casinos and even if he has a quarter left in his pocket; he needs to spend it before going home; My wonderful friend and I had a tepid week last week, and it was raining or humid nearly every afternoon.
It was April, however our weather report wasn’t making it look that way. My mother was weary of being in the house, and so was I, he talked me into taking his to Elgin, IL, and spending the afternoon at Grand Victoria Casino. It was pouring rain when my pal and I left! Thunder and lightning had me turning on my headlights in the middle of the afternoon. There are nine riverboat casinos in IL; And it permanently docked the Grand Victoria Casino on the south side of Festival Park. I thought I would be bored when my pal and I got into the casino, but I was wrong. My wonderful friend and I started out our afternoon by going into the diner/bistro and having a pleasant supper and then headed over to play some games of chance. Mom was winning, and getting his back home was not an option. When I realized it was almost dinnertime, mom told me not to worry. My wonderful friend and I stopped by the deli that was in the grand Victoria Casino and picked up some sandwiches to take home for my partner and Mom. S[ending a hot, rainy afternoon in the Grand Victoria Casino with my mom was better than I thought it would be. I was blissful that it was cooling down to a normal temperature of forty by the time my pal and I got home, however it was still raining, and my pal and I were ready for some heat.
