Last Summer I was definitely miserable inside of the house… Usually in Evansville, IN, temperatures are not almost 100°, but last Summer it was close to there and I felt like I was roasting alive inside of my house.
Temperatures were definitely bad three or four afternoons in a row. On the eighth day, I tried to turn the temperature on the a/c down to 69° and that caused ice to form on the evaporator coils. Luckily, I found out that I did not have to call anyone to fix the problem, however i looked online for helpful problemshooting tips and there was lots of information about ice on the evaporator coils, however most of the tips and problemshooting information told me to wait until everything was thawed out and a couple of people even suggested using a hair dryer. I decided to let the system thaw out on its own and a puddle of water was underneath the a/c when it was done. Several afternoons later, there was another problem with the a/c. I decided not to call the repair provider until the eighth time the a/c broke down… Even after I waited for the ice to go away, the a/c still would not put out chilly air. I contacted the Evansville cooling business to schedule a repair. I was cheerful to hear that they have services until 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Saturday and I did not have to spend money any repair fees that were extra even though it was nearly 7:00 at night when I finally called.
