Filming cable spots for cannabis

Over the last twenty years Portland, OR has developed a reputation for being friendly to cable & movie crews, and this city has constantly been a purchaser of the arts; Galleries, art museums, & open forums have been respected since the land was first settled.

That’s one of the several things that makes Portland such an awesome neighborhood – it supports artists, but i first moved here about ten years ago, at the time it was supposed to be temporary despite the fact that I just never left.

I was slated to star in a low budget horror movie being shot in Portland. My fine friend and I made the movie, however my fine friend and I never saw the inside of a movieplex, except for the seasoned venue in Portland my fine friend and I rented to screen it to our friends. I wound up getting a job in a Portland cannabis dispensary, & the rest is history. I applied for a job as a budtender, however once the owner saw my credentials she asked if I would be interested in motion pictureing cable commercials for a local Portland cable station. I jumped at the chance, however filming cable spots for cannabis shops wasn’t my dream, despite the fact that I appreciated being in Portland & hoped this would lead to something more. The commercials were a minor hit, which led to other Portland companies contacting me to direct their ads. Out of respect to the first cannabis shop that hired me, I never motion pictureed ads for any of her Portland rivals; Now that the motion picture community in Portland is starting to become more active, I hope I can beginning making movies again.
