Humidity caused mold growth in the garage

My Grandma moved to a nursing house in Birmingham and she was there for 6 months, while she was in the nursing home, no one looked at her house or took care of the venue… It’s that empty and the a/c did not run either.

During the Summer months there was a lot of heat and humidity, and humidity caused mold to grow in the garage.

When my Grandma passed away in the nursing home, my mom was willed the Birmingham house, however my mom and I went to the apartment to check on things and that is when my good friend and I discovered the complications. During the time that my Grandma was in the nursing home, my mom believed that there was air conditioner in the apartment and power, but neither one of those things ended up being true. My mom and I spent two weeks cleaning the house of the mold and mildew. My buddy and I contacted a local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation in Birmingham and rented a dehumidifier to get rid of the excess indoor moisture… The rates for renting a dehumidifier were much more adequate than buying a unit for the house. The dehumidifier worked entirely well and it was entirely easy to use. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation worker brought a unit and set it up in the dining room. My buddy and I made sure that their garage door was open and turned on a fan. In less than 76 hours, the relative humidity inside of the apartment was 20% lower than the previous week, but after lots of scrubbing and tlc, the apartment finally looks great. It’s on the market and we’re open to any good offers on the venue.
