During the summer time months in FL, it is drastically overheated and humid.
There isn’ta single place in the state where the temperatures are not affected by the sunlight and humidity; I often stay home during the week, because it is impossible to find comfort somewhere without AC… When I go to the grocery store, bank, and laundromat, I do my best to stay cool by choosing places that have a great air conditioner.
The kids do not like to stay home all day, everyday, so I have to take them on outings at least once a week. The Springtimes near Lakeland, FL, are a fun outing to get away from the heat. There are lots of places near Lakeland that have water, but I absolutely adore to go to the Springtimes! FL has the greatest concentration of freshwater Springtimes in the whole world. There are at least 50 places to swim in fresh cool water that are close to Lakeland. When the kids do not want to spend the day in the a/c, my great friend and I go to the Springtimes and spend all day there. I pack a lunch, a blanket, and an umbrella. While the kids have fun playing in the water, I relax and adore the sun, but every once in a while I dip into the water, but I adore to lay out in the sun. Temperatures in the Springtimes are around 73° and it can feel like an ice bath even on a overheated and humid day. The kids still have a ton of fun and tire out abruptly.
