I try to get household as much as possible, although I will confess Summer is my favorite time in Lee’s Summit… There are so numerous events & things I enjoy doing, that I spend my entire getaway visiting family & friends & going to different events; One of my favorite ways to relax while household in Lee’s Summit, is to go to Splash at Summit Waves, and with its lazy man made river that you can spend almost a quarter mile rolling along on an inner tube, to the splash park for the kids, makes it a family favorite.
When the afternoon gets hotter, & I’m ready to relax & head inside with some air conditioning, my buddy and I head to neighborhood & relax in one of the numerous pizzerias, or head over to the brewery where they offer coors & wine. I spend a lot of time with my parents while I’m back home! My friends come over, & Mom consistently has the grill going so my buddy and I can have a BBQ. We’ll rest outside & enjoy the cool evening while talking about aged times. Mom & Mom consistently have fun stories to tell that are only fun for almost everyone else to hear, & are usually embarrassing to myself & my friends. There is nothing like going household again, even if I do let my mind stroll back to where I now live. The climate isn’t as nice as it is back home, & I often wish I could transfer back to Lee’s Summit & enjoy the cold winters & hot summers, but it won’t happen. I’m stuck where it is Summer almost all year round.
