My hubby was home on Saturday when the HVAC business from Springfield showed up to perform a full system inspection on our Heating and Cooling equipment.
Once a year we have a full service inspection performed on the heating and cooling equipment.
It really helps with the energy efficiency and longevity of the machine. Keeping the HVAC equipment in pristine condition helps the machine work more effectively during the heat of summer. During the routine inspection, the heating and cooling company inspects every part of the electrical and mechanical system. The routine inspection is thorough and comprehensive and includes all of the indoor and outdoor components. I wasn’t home at the time that the routine inspection was performed. My hubby was there and the salesperson from the HVAC business in Springfield talked my husband into a brand new smart thermostat for our home. The smart thermostat was installed by the service technician. My husband did not bother to ask for directions on how to properly use the thermostat. When I got home and saw the new thermostat, I immediately asked for answers. I didn’t know how to use the smart thermostat and my hubby didn’t get a very good explanation either. I’m still learning how to use the smart thermostat and both of us have watched the videos online several times. The smart thermostat is supposed to make our life easier, but I wish we could go back to the thermostat that we had before. It was much easier to use and did not require internet hook up and a fingerprint scan in order to change the temperature.
