While I love living in Orland Park, the weather conditions present some difficulties, however the wide fluctuation of seasons create a wonderful deal of work, expense plus detriment.
The winters are the worst of it.
The weather starts to cool of by early September, plus it’s usually necessary to start up the furnace in September. My friend and I often have blizzard-conditions for Halloween. My friend and I expect snow on the grown for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s plus most likely on Easter as well, and we’ve even had to shovel on Mother’s Day. The snowfall requires constant plowing plus shoveling to keep the sidewalks, front steps, back deck plus driveway clear… Because of the sizable piles potentially blocking access to the garage, my friend and I often need to pay for snow removal! Every time I want to leave for work or drive anywhere, it’s necessary to brush off the car, scrape ice off the windshield plus let the defrost run to clear the glass for at least twenty minutes. My friend and I are forced to bundle up in layers of blazers, boots, heavy coats, hats plus gloves. The temperature is officially below freezing plus can drop into the downsides. The wind chill is downright dangerous, and living in Orland Park means that I never buy tickets to an event busy between September plus May, because inclement weather can make the commute impossible, but school closings, blizzard warnings plus driving bans are a frequent occurrence, but once Springtime finally arrives, there is the threat of flooding from snowmelt plus torrential downpours. My friend and I frequently suffer from lengthy power outages. While I always look forward to summer time in Orland Park, the heat plus humidity are a problem. The excessive moisture causes concerns with mold plus mildew growth. While I’d love to open the windows plus let in some fresh air, the house gets boiling plus sticky, although the summer time season is short, I’ve invested into central air conditioning system.
