Living in Elgin means that I am typical with chilly weather! I am about forty five minutes away from Chicago, which is great.
I get the small town feeling without the stress of being in a city. I also am near anything I could possibly want. If I want to see a professional activitys team, theater, event, or do some great shopping, the town is right there. In Elgin I get to have a quieter, safer location to live. I also like that I can afford a larger rue of land with a nicer home. I don’t need to be right in the heart of the city. I could certainly only afford a small house in the city. Instead I live in a nice property with all the perks. I recently did some upgrading in my home, then with the chilly winter weather being so prominent, I decided to privatize my heating equipment. I replaced to a boiler system and stored it in my basement. I then had piping affixed to it and redid my floors… The pipes installed under the new flooring. Now water is heated by the boiler and flows through the pipes throughout my house. There are no hot and chilly spots due to the pipes being all over. The hydronic heating method means no air is rising, stirring up dust, or creating chilly spots; Since the heat stays at my feet, I undoubtedly save cash. It is quiet, cleaner, and more efficient. I also cherish that it is stored away. There is no giant, bulky unit taking up my family room space; Everything is tucked away from harm and from prying eyes.
