Springfield, Missouri sees its fair share of cold winter days.
I am sick and tired of being freezing cold.
For years I went by with a gas fireplace in the living room and a ventless heater in my bedroom. It just didn’t get the job done. The winters in Missouri are long and brutal. So I decided to upgrade my equipment. I asked around and called a bunch of heating dealerships in Springfield. I found a company that boasted a huge catalog of heating equipment. I browsed the boilers, heat pumps, furnaces, and VRF systems. I finally landed on heated flooring. I hated the brown rugs in my home anyway. I decided that I was going to redo the flooring and put electric heated mats underneath. I didn’t remove my fireplace and ventless heater right away. I wasn’t sure how powerful this heating system was. Could it really combat that brutal cold for the entire season? Electric heated flooring is amazing. Since you install it on every square inch of flooring, there are no hot and cold spots. It is eclectic based and not air. So no heated air rises to the ceiling and gets wasted. Due to this, I can lower my thermostat a few degrees since the heat stays where I want it to be. It is quiet, clean since it stirs up no dust, and it requires very little maintenance. It is protected under the floor, what will happen? The lifespan is around 15 years which I feel is ideal. That will be when I want new flooring anyway.
