High heat is a destructive force to both the environment plus the people who inhabit those areas.

For instance, massive heatwaves in the pacific northwest last summer time resulted in many unexpected deaths.

There are many people in that region who have managed just good without air conditioning for decades before seeing a sizable heat spike up to 115 degrees in the summer time of 2021. I heard about exhausting folks dying in their homes because of the rampant heat. For those who could afford an air conditioning, there was a shortage of unit almost immediately when the temperatures started to rise for afternoons on end. The family members of mine who live in that section were suffering for weeks until the heatwaves subsided. I was residing in Phoenix while I was in the last few years plus understand what it’s adore to experience temperatures upwards to 110 degrees in the morning sun. That’s why I was pleasantly surprised moving to Albuquerque plus finding a rather mild climate compared to central Arizona. A lot of people don’t realize that Albuquerque has a rather high elevation, laying at 5,312 feet above sea level. Every one of us live in a desert that is so high in the mountains that our temperatures are mild compared to sites in Arizona adore Phoenix. Living in 110 degree heat is unbearable in our mind. I enjoy being in Albuquerque plus not feeling adore I’m getting fried by the sun every hour I’m resting outdoors. And once the people I was with and I get to the Winter season, our weather drops down into the 20s at night with daytime weather usually in the low 40s.

After my wifey plus I broke up, I was certainly depressed plus sad; I didn’t want to go anywhere with my friend.

I didn’t go to the gym plus labor out for weeks.

I didn’t want to go anywhere that reminded me of my wifey. When my friends suggested going to San Francisco for the day, it sounded prefer a great idea. Those are certainly nice locations to sunbathe plus relax plus both are located within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, after a day with my friends, I was ready to stop feeling sorry for myself. I let that woman keep me down for long enough. It was time for me to wake up plus get my life back on track.

Albuquerque is a giant city, of well over half a million people, that still has that cozy small town think to it! I drive an ice cream truck, so I suppose the quiet villages, urban hot spots, as well as suburban housing tracts, plus anyone.

I have to say, I appreciate it here, but sure it can get hot, we are near a lot of desert, but it isn’t nearly as moderate as well as humid as you might think.

I get to go to labor in short sleeves most of the time, as well as sporadically it’s just too cold to sell any ice cream! My first rock show was an outdoor festival in the forests near Seattle, WA, however my friends in addition to I brought tents, in addition to spent the entire weekend at the fairground, listening to dozens of amazing tunesal acts before they broke through into the mainstream… I got to see Nirvana in addition to Mudhoney on the same show, in addition to this was before Nirvana hit the crucial time with Nevermind! I usually go out to Riverfront park in March with my dog when the temperatures start to warm up, but we couldn’t really do that this year.

My buddy and I are staying at his parent’s hunting cabin for the next year while we each finish online classes for our college degrees. They also wanted us to utilize whatever freetime we had available to paint the interior, shampoo the carpets, and landscape the yard outside. We’re from a climate that gets cold every winter and we were excited because this hunting cabin is located in Spokane, Washington, which often stays above 20 degrees year-round. You can enjoy snow and other winter weather without freezing to death at negative 20 degrees fahrenheit. However, despite the relative comfort of living in Spokane this winter compared to our home state, Spokane and many other places out west were hit by massive cold snaps from early spring into early summer. We saw most of the power grid going down in Texas through highlights on the evening news. Fortunately, our energy grid in Spokane is weatherized and prepared for cold temperatures of that magnitude. However, winter for us didn’t this year until summer began. I usually go out to Riverfront park in March with my dog when the temperatures start to warm up, but we couldn’t really do that this year. It was below 40 degrees out most days until the first week of July when temperatures shot up to 80 degrees one day. We were using our furnace one week and our air conditioner the next! We didn’t even have time to get the HVAC system serviced before needing to use the air conditioner religiously. On top of that, the heating and cooling company was backed up with calls when the temperatures suddenly rose one afternoon.

If you have kids and live in Seattle the library is where you should go.

I know that sounds weird. Why would kids want to go to the library? I used to live in New York and the libraries were nothing to write home about. It was a moderately clean building and shelves of books. There usually weren’t spaces to read or great views. Seattle central library is something else altogether. It has eleven storeys, is 57 metres high and has floating platforms. There is tons of reflective glass, cool shaped architecture and wide open space. It doesn’t even really look like a library. The best is the area for the kids though. The Faye G. Allen Children’s Center has books, games, puzzles and story times happening there constantly. On Level Three is the Norcliffe Foundation Living Room. This is a just space with cozy seats, an indoor cafe, garden and lots of sunlight showing through the diamond-pattern windows. Another story up is the computers and another level up from that is all different shades of red. Tourists actually take tours of the area. It is so neat. My kids can spend hours in the library reading, playing on the computers or just walking around. It is nice for me since I can either choose to read, get work done on the computer or just take a quick power nap in the living room area. It has everything I could want too. I think even people who aren’t a fan of reading would find something worthwhile in the area.

Living in Libertyville, there’s a great deal of outdoor activities available.

One of my favorite spots to spend a sunny day is the Independence Grove Forest Preserve.

It is a scenic forest area centered around a 115-acre lake. The area is really beautiful at all times of year. Even when the winter brings freezing temperatures, the snow can be gorgeous and a lot of fun. The lake is the main attraction and was created from a former gravel quarry. It is ideal for swimming, fishing and boating. The fishing is all catch-and-release and there are boat rentals available. I like to hike or bring my bike along. There’s around seven miles of trails that connect to the Des Plaines River Trail and some really beautiful native gardens. For refreshments, the Visitor Center offers an outdoor walk-up cafe. It is a 19,000 square foot building where there’s changing exhibits to see. I usually pack my own food and take advantage of the shaded picnic grove. Sometimes, I bring my dog along and take advantage of the Lake County Forest Preserve Dog Exercise Area. My dog absolutely loves the ability to run around and play with other dogs. I recently learned that a beer garden is going to open where there used to be a public beach. The beach house was apparently too expensive to maintain. The new venture will offer locally brewed draft beer, hard cider, lemonade, a variety of other beverages, snacks and picnic tables with a lakefront setting. I’m looking forward to it. After a long day on the lake or hiking through the woods, a beer with friends would be the perfect conclusion.

My girlfriend and I woke up on Saturday morning and the air conditioner wasn’t blowing any cold air.

We planned to spend the day in bed watching movies with the kids.

It was supposed to be close to 100 degrees that day and we weren’t going to leave the house at all. When we woke up and found the air conditioner broken, we had to come up with a different plan for the day. The maintenance office couldn’t get to the repair until after lunch. My girlfriend and I woke up the kids and we packed a bag with a change of clothes. I told the apartment community manager that way would be gone all day. She promised to text me when the air conditioner was repaired. We left Tampa and headed for Rainbow Springs. Since it was going to be a hot and humid day, the Tampa Bay area spring sounded like a great idea. We left Tampa Bay shortly after 8 AM. Traffic was already heavy, even for a Saturday morning. We were driving away from the city, so traffic started to dissipate rather quickly. We arrived at the spring around 10 a.m. and the park was already at capacity. We drove 90 minutes for the perfect day at the springs and the forest ranger wanted us to drive all the way back to Tampa without ever putting our feet in the water. That wasn’t part of my plan, so I took the kids to a different and more secluded spring. It wasn’t as large as the state park, but it was just as cold and refreshing.

Evansville is one of the largest cities in the state of Indiana after Fort Wayne and Indianapolis.

• It is easily the largest city in the southern part of Indiana.

Evansville is located on the Ohio River. It is one of the reasons why it is often referred to as the river city. Evansville is home to the state’s very first casino. My friends and I decided to go to the casino last fall. We live several hours away from Evansville, but my friends and I decided to spend the weekend in the city. I got a hotel room at one of the local chain places. The room had a view of the river. It wasn’t a particularly great view, but it was better than a view of the street and the buildings. Going to Evansville in the fall was a great idea, because we got to see a lot of different colors on the trees. Many of the trees were already changing to orange, red, yellow, and green colors and they were vibrant and full of life. The first night we spent in Evansville, I was at the casino until it closed. I lost a couple hundred dollars, but I had a lot of fun playing poker. I slept hard that night, and I’m sure the 10 beers helped my slumber. It was pretty cold in the hotel room, but I had the heater on 70 degrees. I only had to sleep with a light sheet, because the temperatures were so warm and comfortable. My friends and I enjoyed two nights in Evansville and then we had to go back home to our boring life in northern Indiana.

Toronto is a really fun and interesting place to live.

There are a ton of activities that make Toronto an exciting place to live.

One of my favorite places to visit in Toronto is Lake Ontario. Lake Ontario has a lot of great fishing and there are plenty of places in the Toronto area where you can easily access the lake by boat. There are also plenty of peers and local fishing areas. My friends and I love to go camping by Lake Ontario in Toronto during May. It is a great time to find king salmon, steelhead trout, coho salmon, and brown trout. One of the largest salmon caught in the lake weighed over 40 lb. The biggest fish my friends and I ever pulled out of the lake was a 22-pound king salmon and it fed my family and I for several meals. The best part about living in Toronto is the fact that there is legal cannabis. Cannabis is regulated by the government, but it is legal for medical and recreational use. The government heavily controls the amount of cannabis that can be purchased, but the amounts are enough for a single person. When my wife suggested moving across the border to New York for a couple of years, I thought she was crazy. I didn’t want to move anywhere, especially after I spent my entire life living in Canada. My wife got an offer from a hospital making twice as much money as she was in Toronto, so we had to move. Things are a lot different here, but at least they still have legal cannabis.
