When my friends and I got out of college, my friend and I wanted to go see some of the local area! One of the things my friend and I all decided to do was discover the Adventurous Scavenger Hunt my friend and I had read about in the brochures my friend and I found for Lakeland, FL, however since my friend and I had spent most of our afternoon time inside the college, my friend and I weren’t aware of how overheated it was going to be… The scavenger hunt was a walking hunt that was said to take two hours that you did on your own time! It was a guided tour where my friend and I used our GPS as the guide, but my great friend and I had to find weird things along the way, and because of how it was set up, my friend and I never crossed paths with another group… Halfway through the adventurous scavenger hunt, my friend and I were all panting from the heat and humidity that was part of Lakeland.

Had my friend and I been in a car that had a/c, my friend and I may have been having fun, however my friend and I weren’t. My great friend and I were having some fun, however it wasn’t what my friend and I expected. My friends come over, plus dad regularly has the grill going so my friend and I can have a BBQ. We’ll sit outside plus prefer the cool night while talking about seasoned times. Mom plus dad regularly have fun stories to tell that are only fun for everyone else to hear, plus are usually embarrassing to myself plus my friends. There is nothing like going apartment again, even if I do let my mind saunter back to where I now live. The weather conditions isn’t as nice as it is back home, plus I often wish I could transfer back to Lee’s Summit plus prefer the cold winters plus sizzling summers, however it won’t happen. I’m stuck where it is summer time almost all year round.

The climate isn’t as nice as it is back home, & I often wish I could transfer back to Lee’s Summit & enjoy the cold winters & hot summers, but it won’t happen. Over the course of five years, three of my teenagers plus my sibling moved to Jacksonville, FL, however they all had their own homes, plus were enjoying the year-round warmth we didn’t have in the Northwest, but i had to travel over 3000 miles to visit my family, plus my Dad consistently traveled with me, my friend and I had a lot of rain where we came from, but it wasn’t like the rainy season they had in Jacksonville, FL… Even so, she would have blissfully stayed longer if it wasn’t for the hurricane they were predicting for the weekend.

My friend and I had to split our visit short so we didn’t get caught in the storm.

Dad was laughing plus said it could not be any worse than the rainy season we were already experiencing, but my child said it could be worse. The bridge could be flooded, plus that would make for a lot of complications until they could get it worked on. I wanted to be home before the hurricane hit. My Dad wanted to go to bingo the night before we left, and while there, the air conditioning went out, plus then it started to thunder plus lightning. I had to wait until she finished her bingo game before we could leave. It was a good thing my daughter-in-law drove, because I could not see through all the rain plus lightning. I had to drive 500 miles before we got out of the storm, but we got out before the hurricane hit. The next time we go to Jacksonville, FL, I plan on going in the winter when I don’t need to worry about hurricanes or temperatures over 100 degrees.

My good friend and I find plenty of things to do where I can excel, even if it isn’t in my escape artistry or my ability to sing.
