I might stay in Albuquerque when I retire

My ten year career plan was very risky, but at the time it seemed like my only choice.

I had my CDL license as a trucker, and I owned my own vehicle. It was a large-cab semi truck, with a sleeping berth in the back and a tiny kitchenette so I could live there for long periods of time. My plan was to sell my house and live in the truck permanently for ten years. I had no kids or family to speak of, so I thought if I did nothing but work and live in the truck for a decade I could save up enough to retire at age 40. A lofty goal, no doubt! My job is based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is probably the place I will stay after I retire. There are a few reasons that I’ve grown quite fond of Albuquerque, but the biggest would be the people here. It’s not like the midwest where people are TOO friendly, the folks of Albuquerque are nice and polite, but know how to mind their own business. Cannabis is legal in Albuquerque, and the dispensaries are easy to find. The locally brewed beer and spirits of Albuquerque are almost as amazing as the marijuana, although they don’t get as much recognition. Another major reason I want to stay in Albuquerque, as simple as it sounds, is because of the night sky. The way the stars twinkle in the night over Albuquerque is as beautiful as any painting or work of art. Seems like a nice place to settle down.

What happens if I don’t follow the marijuana laws?

Sometimes I really should keep my mouth shut.

I know that if I break the laws, there are consequences.

It doesn’t matter how mild or severe the consequences are. You are breaking the law, and that is what counts. My parents were always preaching that you should always follow the rules, but I seldom listened. I was always getting in trouble for picking on the girls, being too loud, or starting a fight. They told me that was different. I was now twenty-one and old enough to know better. I was visiting my sister in Denver, CO last month. She had marijuana and offered to let me use some. I was old enough, and I didn’t think it would make a difference if I was in the house or on the porch. She had a kid in the house, and I didn’t want to use marijuana around the kid. I didn’t have the door opened all the way when she started spouting off about laws. She told me there were penalties that could be a fine, jail, or even a prison sentence. I thought smoking marijuana on the porch would be smarter, but she pulled me back inside. I wanted to go to university near Denver, and she told me that even as a student, I would find there were different laws. Schools, universities, and even the people I work for, could place their own disciplinary actions on marijuana use. She was telling me all about marijuana use laws, and I was just trying to protect my nephew. All I wanted to do was smoke some marijuana, and I got a lesson on the laws and regulations in Denver, CO.

We took the party indoors instead of staying in the sun

This year for spring break, my friends and I decided to go to Phoenix.

There’s lots of fun things to do in Phoenix and the weather is absolutely great. During the Spring months, the temperatures are easily in the 90s with lots of sunshine and barely any clouds. I was very excited to visit all of the cool places in Phoenix. I wanted to go to Papago Park. Papago Park is a city park and natural geological formation. There is a really neat rock formation called hole in the rock. My friends and I went hiking to see the hole in the rock. We spent all day at Papago Park walking around exploring. By the end of six hours of hiking, I was ready for a nap and a big dinner. I must have walked ten miles that day and my legs and back were hurting. My friends and I went to a diner in Phoenix and got some dinner. The diner was rated four stars by all of the locals. I thought that the diner had some really good food, but the indoor air quality wasn’t great. It didn’t feel like the air conditioner was running at all. The air inside of the diner was warm and stagnant. When we finally got back to our condo at the end of the day, I was ready to lay down in front of the air conditioner and sleep until the next morning. The whole week was busy from one day to the next. I don’t feel like I ever had a break. I still needed some rest and relaxation after getting back from our spring break adventure.

It was snowy the entire time both of us were in Alsip, IL.

I was used to the lights as well as sounds that comes from a sizable city, then when our aunt told myself and others she was taking myself and others to Chicago, I was thinking the sizable city, then instead of the neighborhood of Chicago, she took myself and others to a small suburb that was named Alsip.

I was devastated, however alsip was less than 200,000 people as well as had little to see or do, but not only was there honestly little to do, however the entire several afternoons both of us were there, it snowed, then there was nothing however blustery winds, frigid rain as well as snow, whenever both of us walked out of the hotel. I asked her why she brought myself and others here, as well as she said she wanted to take myself and others back to our roots. There was more family history in Alsip, IL than anywhere else in the state. I asked if both of us couldn’t just stay in the hotel where there was excellent Heating as well as A/C, although she said no. I should get used to the frigid as well as the snow, as well as realize our ancestors had to deal with it without Heating as well as A/C. I looked at her, as well as listened while she told myself and others both of us were spoiled, however she took myself and others to a small cemetery called Burr Oak. She pointed out some of the more usual names that are neighbord with our family, as well as some not so familiar. She offered myself and others the history of Burr Oak, as well as after an hour, said it was time to go back to the hotel. As I shivered on the way back, I was thinking about everything she told me; Going back in time wasn’t so bad, as well as I found out much about our family, but I was thrilled to be in the heat of the Heating as well as A/C at the hotel.
